Marcell Dareus appeared on Kiss 98.5 this morning and had the following to say about his injury:
“I got kicked in my calf and they said I bruised a muscle and they didn’t want to take a risk, so they sent me out of practice and I got some treatment,” Dareus said. ”We were stretching it out trying to get it back well.”
Dareus isn't sure if the coaching staff will keep him out of Saturday's game against the Jags. He said he wanted to play and thinks he will play but isn't 100% sure yet.
It wouldn't surprise me if they kept him out. There's no reason to risk any further injury to their 1st round pick.
